Landlord को समस्या बताने के लिए English phrases

  • There is a problem with the sink.
  • The heater is not working.
  • The bathroom light is flickering.
  • Water is leaking from the ceiling.
  • The window won’t close properly.

इन sentences में There is a problem with... काफी neutral है। लेकिन जब आप issue को साफ़ बताना चाहते हैं, तो The heater is not working या Water is leaking ज़्यादा natural लगता है।

अगर आप चाहें तो शुरुआत में थोड़ा soft tone रख सकते हैं:

  • I wanted to let you know that there is an issue with the sink.
  • I’m having a problem with the bathroom drain.
  • I noticed that the AC is not cooling properly.

I wanted to let you know सुनने में polite लगता है। यह complaint को rude बनाए बिना शुरू करने का अच्छा तरीका है।

कब से problem है, यह बताना

Landlord को सिर्फ़ problem नहीं, context भी चाहिए होता है:

  • This started yesterday.
  • It has been happening for the last few days.
  • The problem began after the heavy rain.
  • It was working fine before.

अगर कोई repair जल्दी चाहिए, तो detail देना मदद करता है। जैसे:

The kitchen sink has been leaking since Monday.

यह sentence साफ़ है: issue क्या है, और कब से चल रहा है।

आप क्या चाहते हैं, यह भी साफ़ कहें

कई लोग problem बता देते हैं लेकिन अगला कदम नहीं कहते। आप यह भी जोड़ सकते हैं:

  • Could you please send someone to check it?
  • Can this be repaired soon?
  • Please let me know when someone can come by.
  • Would it be possible to fix this this week?

Could you please और Would it be possible दोनों polite हैं। ये direct हैं, लेकिन कठोर नहीं लगते। अगर सामने वाला landlord है, तो यही tone काम आती है।

अगर बात urgent है, तो इसे भी साफ़ कहा जा सकता है:

  • This is urgent because water is getting into the room.
  • I’m concerned that the problem may get worse.

एक छोटा सा realistic example

Hi, I wanted to let you know that the bathroom drain is blocked. It has been getting worse over the last two days. Could you please arrange someone to check it?

इस message में तीनों चीज़ें हैं: problem, timing, और request. यही structure आप कई situations में इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं।

कुछ phrases जो awkward लग सकते हैं

  • My house is bad. — बहुत vague है, landlord को clear नहीं होगा कि issue क्या है।
  • Fix it. — too direct और rude लग सकता है, खासकर written message में।
  • There is a big problem in my room. — problem का idea है, लेकिन detail नहीं है।

बेहतर है कि आप specific रहें। window, sink, heater, leak, noise, power — इनमें से जो भी असली issue हो, उसी word का इस्तेमाल करें।

अगर आप landlord को message लिख रहे हैं, तो आप इस तरह भी शुरू कर सकते हैं:

Hello, I’m writing to report a problem in the apartment.

यह line formal है, लेकिन heavy नहीं। और अगर आपको ऐसे daily-life situations के लिए और phrases चाहिए, तो घर बदलते समय काम आने वाले English phrases भी काम आ सकते हैं। कभी-कभी landlord से बात करते समय phone पर बोलना पड़ता है; उस स्थिति में फोन पर बात करने के लिए English phrases भी useful रहेंगे।

अगर response चाहिए, तो follow-up phrase रखें

  • Please let me know when you can take a look.
  • I’ll be available after 5 p.m.
  • Please update me once it has been fixed.

इन phrases से बातचीत अधूरी नहीं रहती। आप सामने वाले को next step भी दे रहे हैं और अपना availability भी बता रहे हैं।

छोटी-सी बात जो फर्क डालती है

अगर issue बार-बार हो रहा है, तो again या still इस्तेमाल करना helpful हो सकता है:

  • The heater is still not working.
  • The same problem is happening again.

यह सुनने में firm लगता है, लेकिन unnecessary aggressive नहीं। Landlord को message करते समय यही balance सबसे ज़्यादा काम आता है।
