किसी room, flat या house के बारे में पूछते समय सबसे पहले जो चीज़ साफ़ करनी होती है, वह है rent. कई लोग सीधा “How much is rent?” बोल देते हैं, लेकिन असली बातचीत में rent के साथ deposit, bills, furnishing, और payment date भी पूछनी पड़ती है. इसलिए कुछ सीधी, काम की phrases याद रखना बेहतर रहता है।
Rent पूछने के आसान तरीके
अगर आप basic question पूछना चाहते हैं, तो ये phrases natural लगती हैं:
- How much is the rent?
- What is the monthly rent?
- Is the rent fixed?
- Does the rent include bills?
- Is deposit required?
यहाँ monthly rent ज़्यादा साफ़ और specific लगता है, खासकर जब आपको हर महीने कितना देना है, यह जानना हो। Does the rent include bills? पूछने का मतलब है कि बिजली, पानी, gas या internet rent में शामिल हैं या अलग से देने होंगे।
अगर आप थोड़ा polite होकर पूछना चाहते हैं, तो ऐसे बोल सकते हैं:
- Could you tell me the rent, please?
- May I know the monthly rent?
- Could you also tell me about the deposit?
Could you tell me... और May I know... दोनों courteous हैं। ये landlord, agent, या property owner से बात करते समय अच्छे लगते हैं।
सिर्फ rent नहीं, total cost भी पूछें
कई बार room का rent कम लगता है, लेकिन बाद में bills, maintenance, या security deposit जोड़कर total cost ज़्यादा निकलती है। इसलिए ये phrases भी काम आती हैं:
- Are utilities included?
- Is there any maintenance charge?
- How much is the security deposit?
- When is the rent due?
- How do I pay the rent?
Utilities एक common word है, लेकिन हर जगह उसका exact मतलब local agreement के हिसाब से थोड़ा बदल सकता है. आम तौर पर इसमें बिजली, पानी, gas जैसी चीज़ें आती हैं. अगर बात clear करनी हो, तो आप आगे पूछ सकते हैं: Does that include electricity and water?
Room देखने या enquiry करते समय बोलने वाले sentences
अगर आप first contact कर रहे हैं, तो ये lines बहुत natural हैं:
- I’m looking for a room. What’s the rent?
- Is the room still available?
- Can you share the rent and deposit details?
- Is it furnished or unfurnished?
Furnished का मतलब है room में furniture है; unfurnished का मतलब है furniture नहीं है. यह distinction rent समझने के लिए ज़रूरी है, क्योंकि furnished place का rent अक्सर अलग होता है।
अगर आप detail में जानना चाहते हैं, तो एक ही message में सब पूछ सकते हैं:

इसी तरह Rent कितना है? का direct English version हर बार एक जैसा नहीं होता. Context के हिसाब से phrase चुननी होती है:

- total amount: What is the total monthly cost?
- bills included हैं या नहीं: Does the rent include bills?
