कई बार Hindi speakers already, yet और just को एक ही तरह का word मान लेते हैं, जबकि तीनों का काम अलग है। सबसे पहले यही साफ कर लेना बेहतर है: already का मतलब है कोई काम हो चुका है, yet अक्सर किसी काम के अभी बाकी होने या सवाल/नकारात्मक वाक्य में “अब तक” जैसा भाव देता है, और just कई बार “अभी-अभी” या “बस” के लिए आता है।
Already: काम हो चुका है
already तब आता है जब आप बताना चाहते हैं कि कोई काम expected time से पहले या पहले ही हो चुका है। यह अक्सर have/has के साथ Present Perfect में दिखता है।
- I have already sent the email.
- She has already left.
- We already know the answer.
ध्यान दें कि already को अक्सर verb से पहले रखा जाता है। Spoken English में यह sentence के end में भी आ सकता है, लेकिन beginner के लिए verb के पास रखना ज़्यादा आसान रहता है।
Yet: अब तक नहीं / अभी भी बाकी
yet का सबसे common use negative sentences और questions में होता है।
- I haven’t finished my work yet.
- Has the train arrived yet?
- They haven’t called me yet.
यहाँ yet का भाव “अब तक” है। Hindi speakers की common गलती यह होती है कि वे already और yet को एक-दूसरे की जगह रख देते हैं। यह ठीक नहीं है।
- सही: I haven’t eaten yet.
- गलत: I haven’t eaten already.

Just: अभी-अभी / केवल
just के दो बहुत common uses हैं। पहला, अभी-अभी:
- I have just reached home.
- She has just called me.
- The meeting has just started.
दूसरा, केवल / बस:
- It’s just a small issue.
- I just need five minutes.
- He is just a friend.
यहाँ tone अलग हो सकता है। कभी just बात को हल्का बनाता है, कभी limitation दिखाता है। इसलिए sentence का पूरा context देखना ज़रूरी है।
एक ही sentence में order कैसे दिखता है
कुछ sentences में already, yet और just के बीच फर्क साफ दिखता है:
- I have just finished my lunch.
- I have already finished my lunch.
- I haven’t finished my lunch yet.
तीनों में action lunch finish करना है, लेकिन time और completion का sense अलग है। just = अभी-अभी, already = पहले ही, yet = अभी तक नहीं/बाकी है।

आम गलतियाँ
कुछ learners ऐसे sentences बोल देते हैं:
- I already have finished.
- Have you finished already?
- I have finished yet.
इनमें से हर sentence का use हर context में natural नहीं लगता। सबसे सुरक्षित pattern यह है: have/has + already/just + past participle, और negative/question में yet।
