कभी courier दरवाज़े पर खड़ा होता है, कभी app पर message आता है, और तब बस 10–15 साफ़ English phrases काम आ जाते हैं। इस topic में बात “perfect English” की नहीं, बल्कि उस English की है जो package receive करते समय, delivery confirm करते समय, या किसी problem को calmly समझाते समय काम आए।
जब delivery आने वाली हो
अगर आप देखना चाहते हैं कि parcel कब आएगा, तो ये phrases सीधे और natural लगते हैं:
- `Is my parcel out for delivery?`
- `When will the courier arrive?`
- `Can you share the tracking number?`
- `I’m expecting a delivery today.`
`out for delivery` एक common phrase है। इसका मतलब है कि package delivery van या courier के पास पहुँच चुका है और जल्द deliver होने वाला है। इसे casual, everyday English मान सकते हैं।

Pickup, drop-off, और return के लिए phrases
हर delivery सिर्फ receive करने तक सीमित नहीं होती। कभी आपको parcel pickup करना होता है, कभी return करना होता है। तब ये phrases उपयोगी हैं:
- `I’m here to pick up a parcel.`
- `Where should I collect it?`
- `I need to return this package.`
- `Can I drop this off here?`
`pick up` और `drop off` दो अलग actions हैं। `pick up` का मतलब लेना होता है, और `drop off` का मतलब किसी जगह छोड़ना। Delivery context में इन दोनों का confusion अक्सर होता है, इसलिए इन्हें अलग रखकर याद करना बेहतर है।
अगर आप receipt या confirmation चाहते हैं, तो पूछ सकते हैं:
- `Could I get a receipt, please?`
- `Can you send me a confirmation message?`
कौन सा tone सही रहता है
Courier या delivery person से बात करते समय बहुत ज्यादा formal होने की ज़रूरत नहीं होती। `Please` जोड़ना अक्सर काफी होता है। जैसे:

- `Could you check that again, please?`
`Could you... ?` थोड़ा polite लगता है, और busy person से बात करते समय अच्छा choice है। `Send it now` जैसे direct commands कुछ situations में ठीक लग सकते हैं, लेकिन हर बार नहीं। अगर आप safe side पर रहना चाहते हैं, तो request वाली language बेहतर है।
