अक्सर दिक्कत flight के landing पर नहीं, baggage belt पर शुरू होती है। आपका bag नहीं आया, किसी और का bag उठ गया, या suitcase damaged हालत में मिला—ऐसी स्थिति में आपको लंबी English नहीं, बस कुछ साफ़ और सीधे phrases चाहिए होते हैं।
सबसे पहले क्या बोलें
अगर आपका bag नहीं दिख रहा, तो आप बहुत सामान्य तरीके से कह सकते हैं:
- My luggage hasn't arrived.
- I can't find my suitcase.
- My bag is missing.
- My baggage did not come on this flight.
यहाँ luggage, bag, suitcase, और baggage चारों शब्द अलग-अलग संदर्भ में सुनाई देते हैं। रोज़मर्रा की बातचीत में bag और suitcase ज़्यादा natural लगते हैं। Baggage और luggage airport desk पर ठीक लगते हैं, इसलिए शिकायत करते समय ये शब्द बिल्कुल awkward नहीं हैं।
अगर staff आपसे पूछे कि समस्या क्या है, तो आप कह सकते हैं:
- My suitcase is not on the baggage belt.
- I think my bag was sent to the wrong airport.
- It may have been left behind.
यहाँ may have been left behind थोड़ा formal और careful है। अगर आपको पूरा यकीन नहीं है, तो यह phrase अच्छा है क्योंकि आप बिना किसी आरोप के बात रख रहे हैं।
Baggage desk पर काम आने वाले phrases
Airport staff आमतौर पर पहले आपकी जानकारी लेते हैं। उस समय ये sentences काम आते हैं:
- Here is my baggage claim tag.
- This is my boarding pass.
- Can you help me find my luggage?
- Where do I report lost baggage?
अगर आपको property irregularly नहीं बल्कि damaged मिली है, तो अलग wording use करें:
- My suitcase is damaged.
- The wheel is broken.
- The zipper is broken.
- Some items are missing from my bag.
ध्यान रखें, lost luggage और damaged luggage एक ही समस्या नहीं हैं। अगर bag आया ही नहीं, तो “missing” या “not arrived” कहें। अगर bag आया, लेकिन टूटा हुआ है, तो “damaged” कहें। यही distinction airport पर confusion कम करता है।
अगर आपको details देनी हों
Staff अक्सर location, flight number, bag color, या bag size पूछता है। तब simple जवाब दें:
- It is a black hard-shell suitcase.
- My bag is a medium-sized blue backpack.
- My flight number is AI 302.
- I arrived from Delhi.
अगर आप bag को पहचानने में मदद करना चाहते हैं, तो ये भी कह सकते हैं:
- It has a red ribbon on the handle.
- There is a tag with my name on it.
- The handle is broken.
ऐसी छोटी details बहुत useful होती हैं क्योंकि airport staff को आपका bag जल्दी track करने में मदद मिलती है।
क्या न कहें
कभी-कभी learner “My luggage is losted” या “My baggage is missed” जैसे forms बोल देते हैं। ये natural नहीं हैं। Losted standard English नहीं है, और missed इस context में सही choice नहीं है। बेहतर है सीधे कहें:
- My luggage is lost.
- My bag is missing.
- I have lost my suitcase.
अगर आप अभी बहुत परेशान हैं, तब भी छोटे और साफ़ sentences सबसे अच्छे रहते हैं। Airport desk पर ज़रूरी बात यह नहीं कि आप बहुत complex English बोलें; ज़रूरी यह है कि staff तुरंत समझ जाए कि bag नहीं मिला है, damage हुआ है, या wrong bag उठा लिया गया है।
